Two Blues hat-trick
HAT-TRICK OF TWO BLUES WINS
A season first with a hat-trick of club wins for the first time this season for the seniors (pictured top), reserves (below) and thirds.
In a real arm wrestle the Two Blues prevailed by 18 points against arch rival Therry Penola avenging the narrow first round loss.
The win maintained the Two Blues undefeated record at Toorak Park this season and all but ensured a finals berth.
This was a battle of wills with the three goal comeback of Tony Mirabella at full-forward after a short lived ‘retirement’ with a ankle injury, crucial to the outcome.
The Reserves handed out a 96 point thumping while the Thirds posted their second win for the season.

BYE WEEKEND- NO VAFA GAMES
No games this weekend, we resume hostilities at Toorak Park v Whitefriars on July 17.
We wish club 100 games player Beau Adams all the best for his wedding this weekend.
Because of COVID restrictions there have been a few ‘false starts’ but now Beau and his wife to be Bec and teammates can celebrate the occasion.
TACKLE YOUR FEELINGS MENTAL HEALTH WORKSHOP
A great footy club is more than its players, coaches or premierships.
It’s a thriving, healthy community. And a healthy community starts with our minds.
Earlier this week a number of our committee and players from our leadership group, together with Reserves Coach and senior player, Jack Matherson, participated in a Tackle Your Feelings (TYF) workshop. These workshops are being facilitated by the VAFA, delivered by a registered psychologist and are underwritten by the AFL Coaches Association.
Tackle Your Feelings is a training program designed for local footy clubs just like ours.
It strives to improve understanding and awareness of mental health, as well as build skills within committee members, coaches and player leaders to foster an environment where players and club members are supported to effectively manage their emotions.
The club's committee thought this was a timely opportunity after we have recently and yet again, been thrown into lockdown with some members of our club potentially facing some mental hardships through this period.
All attendees actively participated in the workshop & the unanimous consensus was that the workshop was very valuable, constructive and informative (see photo).
More information regarding TYF can be accessed at Tackleyourfeelings.org.au

LUNCHEONS/FUNCTIONS UPDATE
REGRETTABLY time and COVID restrictions have combined to restrict our ability to hold all the functions we planned for 2021.
With just two home games remaining this season we must inform supporters our second and third luncheons will not proceed. Apologies to those who look forward to our traditional roast luncheons but this has simply been beyond our control and we will ensure members receive a ‘bonus’ for 2022.
We have a back log of commitments to 2020 functions held over for obvious reasons due to last year’s lockdown.
Saturday week July 17 the focus will be on the 1990 State Bank premiership re-union while August 7 promises to be a super finale to the Toorak Park season with the Ladies Luncheon in the afternoon and the 2010-19 Team of The Decade function in the evening.
