RACE 3: YOUR COLOUR 1, De Arms 2, Tharwa 3, Icelady 4

Top edition of the Coolmore. Colt Next Episode and filly Satono Glow are both straight winners and handle the wet if the forecast rain arrives. St Gotthard has clearly been set for this by Chris Waller who has won the race six times, blinkers go on, first look at the straight.

RACE 7: STORMY MARCO 1, Cormier 2, Icy You 3, King Snitz 4

Pick-it-with-pin Derby lacking class. Suspect the Sydney form is slightly stronger so going with Spring Champion placegetters Stormy Marco and Cormier, both on a seven day back-up which is a query in itself. Of the locals Icy You was taken to the lead a long way out at Geelong when stayed on well while King Snitz is untapped. 

RACE 8: LADY SHENANDOAH 1, Surfin Bird 2, Unleeshing 3, Concord Connie 4

On facts and figures it's hard to go past Lady Shenandoah a four time Group 1 winner including last start in the Toorak with 58kg. She won that thanks to a 'miracle' ride by J Mac, if she has traffic issues the wonderfully consistent Surfin' Bird will be up front out of any trouble.

RACE 9: FLYING FOR FUN 1, Inkaruna 2, Bridal Waltz 3, Swift Force 

Sydney mare Flying For Fun hit the line strongly behind Jigsaw at Caulfield. She ran second down the straight at last year's carnival as did Inkaruna behind stablemate Point Barrow. A wet track would suit Flying For Fun as does the wide draw.
