RACE 8: NADAL 1, Baraqiel 2, Rey Magnerio 3, Arkansaw Kid 4

The inaugural $1m Meterorite has attracted a quality field. Nadal was held up at a crucial stage down the straight when he should have won. At his best around a turn as is Baraqiel who is undefeated in six starts around a bend. Respect the ultra consistent Rey Magnerio.

RACE 9: VON HAUKE 1, It's A Wild Night 2, Running By 3, Globe 4

Open Cup. Von Hauke was outclassed in the Champions Mile but back to a handicap is a major player. Query runner is Kiwi It's A Wild Night, most impressive last start and has won 8 of 15. Dry tracker Running By and likely leader Glebe are chances.

RACE 10: OH SO GOOD 1, Boltsaver 2, Vail Mountain 3, Russian Meteor 4

Oh So Good is the Quaddie anchor. Has never finished further back than second, makes her own luck on pace, and 1500m is ideal.

BEST BETS: Oh So Good, Romani Ite Domum .  VALUE: Commando Drift.
