With Carbonados likely headed to Rosehill on Sunday, honest sprinter Major Share gets his chance to shine. He has a 50 per cent winning strike rate and looks ideally placed.

RACE 8: PARTY CRASHER 1, Liberami 2, Howlin' Rain 3, Regal Lion 4

SA galloper Party Crasher is a progressive stayer well placed to follow up his Melbourne Cup day win at Flemington. Liberami is a backmarker close to another win, Howlin' Rain led throughout to win the Moe Cup and is the other chance.

RACE 9: BERKELEY SQUARE 1, Kingswood 2, Saint George 3, Air Assault 4

Berkely Square is going to need some luck from the outside draw but he can repeat his Cup win of last year. His form all spring has been sound without much luck. Plenty of chances, notably Kingswood and Saint George who fought out the finish over 1800m over Cup week and Air Assault, who had no luck in the Cranbourne Cup, is a distance doubt but the rails draw is a big help. 

RACE 10: STYLISH 1, Sunshineinmypocket 2, Stay Focused 3, Recon 4

Stylish ran on gamely at Caulfield when resuming. Sunshineinmypocket continues to race well without luck, he's a backmarker but his turn will come soon The improver will by Stay Focused, likely leader out to his favoured trip and firming track is a bonus.
