Tim Maya 200 Games - 29.07.23
Prahran FC congratulates Tim who played his 200th senior game on 29 July. He joined a select group of Adam Sleight, Jack Matherson and James Musster in the ‘200 Club’ since Prahran formed a partnership with Southbank Amateur Football Club in 1999*.
Tim has been around the club most of his life starting at State Bank watching his dad play. His own career started in 2007 with Prahran Under 19's where he was best and fairest in 2007 and 2009. He commenced playing senior football in 2010 and has performed the role of a small forward for most of his career.
In season 2011 he was part of the undefeated Prahran Assumption team where he kicked over forty goals for the year including 5 in the second semi-final and 3 in the grand final.
Tim missed season 2016 due to back surgery but served the Club as a Reserves sideline coach. In 2017 he was back playing again where he was a member of that year’s Senior Premiership team.
Recently Tim has moved to the wing where he continues to play some of his best football.
Tim is a Life Member of the Prahran Football Club, a member of the PFC Team of the Decade (2010-19), a great clubman, is very active on the social front after leading the social committee for many years, and very much part of the Prahran Football Club family. Well done, Tim!
*Andre Pitts played 364 games with the State Bank, Southbank and Prahran VAFA Football Clubs. Will Walford played 300+ games with Prahran VFA, Southbank and Prahran VAFA Football Clubs.
