The Victoria Clinic

The Victoria Clinic, a leader in mental health treatment, is welcomed as new co major sponsor of our Community Sports Program for 2014.

Located at 324 Malvern Road, Prahran, the Victoria Clinic is a 52 bed psychiatric facility which specialises in high quality inpatient and outpatient mental health services.

The Victoria Clinic joins our long time corporate partner the Bendigo Bank East Malvern Community Branch.

The recent high profile mental health issues of English Test cricketer Jonathan Trott and Australia's Olympic swimming champion Ian Thorpe are salient messages that mental health affects all stratas of society. even seemingly invincible sportsmen.

Prahran Football Club is proud of its Community Sports Program which began in 2000 under manager Derek Hine, now national recruiting manager at Collingwood.

For 2014 the program in Stonnington primary schools, Horace Petty Housing Estate and Currajong Special Needs School will be co managed by Dale Tapping, Collingwood VFL coach and Steve Zayler, a former Prahran junior player and St Kilda Cricket Club and Toorak-Prahran Cricket Club talent co-ordinator.

The program runs from March to September with a Footy Fun Day clinic during the July school holidays at Toorak Park on a date to be fixed.
