Rory Brodie wins his second VAFA Division 1 Best & Fairest

PRAHRAN captain Rory Brodie won his second L S Pepper Medal for VAFA Division 1 at this week’s competition vote count.

Brodie was the runaway winner with 32 votes, a staggering 14 votes ahead of Parkdale’s Michael Romano.

A previous Pepper Medallist in 2023, Brodie also last month won his fourth Basil Cleary Medal for Prahran Best & Fairest, equalling the club record with Ray Harvey (VFA) and Adam Sleight (VAFA).

Not only was Brodie the leading ruckman in the competition with his high marking a stand out he topped Prahran’s goal kicking with 35 majors.

The Pepper Medal will be presented to Brodie at the VAFA Presentation Night on October 7.

Teammate Mackenzie Mayne finished in the Division 1 top 10 with 11 votes.
