Premiership For Two Blues Girls

Prahran Under 13 girls team emerged as the only premiers from four Prahran Junior Football Club grand finalists in the South Metro Junior Football League on Sunday August 17.

The girls in their first season of competition won a low scoring match 3-6 (24 ) to St Peters 1-4 (10).

Under coach Steve Zayler the girls lost just one game for the season.

U11 West Prahran Blues 3-3 (21) lost to East Brighton 3-5 (23)

U 11 East Prahran Reds 0-0 lost to Mordialloc-Braeside 6-10 (46)

U12 East Prahran Reds 1-4 (10) lost to East Sandringham 13-4 (82)

 

In VAFA Division 1 the Reserves will play Old Geelong in the first semi-final at Northcote's Bill Lawry Oval on Sunday while the seniors are out of the finals race for the first time in four years.

 

Club XVIII

The Club XVII failed by six points to progress to the grand final despite a late quarter challenge in the preliminary final at Sportscover Arena.
