TOORAK PARK REDEVELOPMENT UPDATE

AS reported in an earlier newsletter, whilst the senior Club will stay at the excellent D.W Lucas Reserve facility for season 2024, we are committed to keeping all supporters up to date with the exciting redevelopment of our spiritual ‘home’, Toorak Park.

The redevelopment is progressing well with most of Stage One - oval redevelopment and lighting upgrade recently completed (refer photos below).

The centre square and playing arena have now been fully turfed and with the recent spring sunshine and rain, it’s now really into the settling and growing stage - it is hoped that the ground will be available for cricket use early in 2024.

The picket boundary fence and perimeter pathway are now effectively completed, while the demolition of the Prahran Cricket Club’s old red brick office building was completed on Saturday 29 September 2023.

All the tenant clubs of Toorak Park are continuing to work in collaboration with Stonnington Council and are now very focussed on completing the detailed design stage of the new pavilion (artist’s impression above). The construction of the new pavilion is expected to commence in the coming weeks.

We will continue to update you as the development progresses and you can also monitor the progress via the following link to access the latest update from Council - when you land on the page, scroll down and click on the "Latest News" and "Gallery" buttons for further information: https://www.stonnington.vic.gov.au/About/Major-infrastructure-works-and-projects/Toorak-ParkVictory-Square-masterplan

VOLUNTEERS/COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED
INVITATION to all supporters and former Prahran players - our Club has a rich history and great culture, however we need new members to join our Committee.

We have exciting and ambitious plans for the future and will need more people to help us to achieve our goals and continue building our heritage.

There are a variety of roles available - if anyone is interested, please email Paul "Squizz" Taylor at pfc.vicepresident37@gmail.com or call on 0438 314 329.

INVITES applicants for the positions of Senior, Reserves and Thirds coaches for the 2024 season.

Prahran Football Club (PFC) fields teams in Division 1 of the Victorian Amateur Football Association and was a finalist in season 2023 with 13 wins in the home and away season.

PFC is temporarily located at the excellent D.W Lucas Reserve, East Malvern for season 2024 but will return to the newly renovated Toorak Park facility in Armadale for the 2025 season.

We seek the services of enthusiastic individuals with a professional attitude, excellent leadership/development skills and a strong understanding of the modern game.

The successful applicants will require excellent communication skills and be prepared to commit plenty of time and energy to the role.

Please provide your application outlining your football coaching credentials and your ideas for developing PFC to Kevin Matherson.
