TWO BLUES OUT TO CONSOLIDATE TOP FOUR BERTH
FOLLOWING a gritty 17 point win over Peninsula after the trek down the highway last Saturday it’s back to Toorak Park this Saturday.
With scores level at half-time and goals hard to come by in the second half this was a real ‘blue collar’ win in enemy territory in testing conditions.
It would have been easy to buckle under the Pirates pressure but decked out in the old Southbank colours because of a jumper clash, the Two Blues held firm in a real team effort.
A win on Saturday is essential to keep a spot in the four, especially considering by a quirk of the draw the Two Blues are yet to play any of the top three teams on the ladder after five rounds.
