TWO BLUES 2025 ADVENTURE BEGINS ON SATURDAY
EVERY new football season brings heightened anticipation and an adventure into the unknown.
This is especially true for Prahran in 2025, as the club begins its journey from Division 1 to VAFA Premier C Grade, starting with an away match against Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS).
Buoyed by a 14-game winning streak leading to last year’s grand final victory—and a host of quality recruits—there is reason for optimism that the Two Blues can successfully transition to a higher grade.
Four recruits will play their first senior games for the Two Blues:
- Ryan Smyth (Langwarrin)
- Pat Marks (Mansfield)
- Diezel Brousse de Laborde (Mornington)
- Josh Taylor (North London via Ainslie) – son of dual club premiership player and vice president Paul “Squizzy” Taylor
One certainty is that Round 1 presents a tough challenge, with PEGS hosting the match at Keilor Park Playing Fields. Along with the low-flying aircraft distractions, previous visits have shown that the windswept conditions test both mindset and skills. PEGS recorded six wins in Premier C Grade last season, ensuring a competitive match.
Reserves
New Reserves coach Jackson Partridge has a deep squad at his disposal, with minimal injuries leading into Round 1.
Women's
Our women’s team will play the first of four grading matches this Saturday at 2:00 PM against Old Camberwell, led by new coach Don Angus.
Their first home game will take place at Toorak Park next Saturday at 9:20 AM as part of a three-game schedule.
ROUND 1 - PFC MEN'S vs PEGS

PLAY 4 BCNA "PINK SPORTS DAY" FUNDRAISER
Prahran Football Club is proud to once again take part in the Play 4 BCNA "Pink Sports Day" fundraising initiative in partnership with VAFA. This important event raises awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), which works tirelessly to ensure that all Australians affected by breast cancer receive the best possible treatment, care, and support.
Every year, more than 20,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer—that’s 58 men and women every single day. By coming together as a club and a community, we can help make a difference.
PFC, along with other VAFA clubs, will be fundraising for BCNA, with our Pink Sports Day taking place in Round 4, coinciding with our annual Ladies Day.
You can show your support by donating to our online fundraiser—every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved!
