TWO BLUES FACE ULTIMATE PRE FINALS TEST

COLLECTIVE minds turned to this Saturday’s season defining clash with arch rival Therry Penola in the aftermath of last Saturday’s thumping win v Old Peninsula.

Nice win, well done, but now prepare yourself for the toughest road trip in VAFA Division 1 -  Therry Penola on a heavy ground in front of a hostile supporter cohort was the post game message from coach Brett Dickinson.

The Two Blues players were urged to embrace the challenge, the perfect prelude to what is hoped to be a successful finals campaign.

Therry Penola has won five of its eight home games this season and somehow reserves its best for the Two Blues.

Last year the Two Blues prevailed in a tight finish and another close match is expected on Saturday.

As the VAFA Division 1 ladder below shows, Prahran must win to keep alive the double chance.

As Therry Penola and UHS-VU meet in the final round, Prahran is all but assured of a finals berth enjoying a four point lead over both teams and a healthy percentage gap.

The Two Blues overpowered Old Peninsula in the second half to win by 91 points, in part to erase the first round 45 point defeat by the Pirates and extend their winning streak to seven games.
