Match Preview - Kew v Prahran Assumption
Round 14 - Kew v Prahran Assumption
Round 14 sees Prahran Assumption venture to Victoria Park in Kew to battle one of the competition heavyweights.
The Two Blues face an uphill challenge to make the finals needing to win at least three of their remaining five games all of which are against sides above them with the exception of West Brunswick in Round 16.
Second-placed Kew trail league-leaders UHS-VU by just six premiership points. The Bears benefiting after the VAFA awarded two points each in their cancelled game home game with Preston Bullants.
The biggest headache and focus this week will be how to stop the high-scoring Bears with the ability to share the goal kicking duties around and three players already kicking more than 15 goals for the season. Nathan Sambevski heads this list with 27 goals to his name.
The other player who needs stopping is Jack Delbridge. Delbridge has had a terrific season and was a member of the VAFA B-D4 side which brought home the win in Perth against the WAAFL. Expect he and Max Waters to have a major say in the midfield against James Musster and James Falcone.
Promises to be an enthralling match with the hosts pushing to cement the double chance and the visitors aiming to round out the season on a high.
