Introducing 2017 PAFC Senior Assistant Coach, Brett Dickinson
We are thrilled to introduce Brett “Dicko” Dickinson as our Playing Senior Assistant Coach for Season 2017. Dicko comes to Toorak Park with a decorated football CV, with the highlight being 3 senior premierships with Ballarat Football League (BFL) powerhouse, Redan. Dicko played two years for North Ballarat in the VFL, as well representing the BFL at the Interleague level, and spent 2016 playing at Numurkah FC close to where his parents reside.
Being a teacher by trade and with his vast footballing experience, as well as having grown up in the country, Dicko is a superb acquisition for the club and is keen to get his teeth into a coaching role with the view of possibly one day coaching a senior team down the track.
Other random facts about Brett that will assist in you getting to know our newest player and coach:
- He taught at St. Pat’s Ballarat from 2011-2014 where he was the Junior Academy Football Coach in 2013
- He is the Sports Coordinator at Penola Catholic College, Broadmeadows and works closely with Millsy and Mango on a daily basis
- He completed the Port Macquarie Ironman in December 2015
- He lives in Parkville
- He is a long suffering Richmond supporter
Dicko has a great knowledge of football and has a wonderful ability to relate to people, teach and coach and hence is a valuable asset to our football club – let’s make him welcome and we look forward to him joining the Two Blues family for Season 2017.
