Inaugural Hall of Fame Event
On Friday, April 17, we proudly hosted our inaugural Hall of Fame event at Caulfield Racecourse to a sold-out 250 person crowd — bringing together past players, coaches, officials, supporters, sponsors and families, along with the Mayor of Stonnington, to celebrate 140 years of Prahran Football Club.
We were honoured to have Sam Kekovich as our MC. As a member of our 1978 premiership team, Sam led the night with humour, energy and a genuine connection to the club, keeping the room engaged from start to finish.

The evening featured videos and interviews celebrating our rich history — from our first VFA premiership in 1937, through the golden years of the 1970s, to the club’s revival in 1999 and the many milestones that have followed, including the growth of our junior program, the Community Sport Program and our VAFA success.
The Hall of Fame and the event itself were the vision of Tim Habel, who dedicated countless hours to bringing it to life — not just for this year, but for generations to come. Alongside him, Paul “Squiz” Taylor played a key role in the planning and delivery of the night. We thank them both for their extraordinary contribution and ongoing commitment to the club.
We would also like to sincerely thank Jon Anderson, Chairman of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee, and Ken Emselle, who worked alongside Tim and Squiz on the Hall of Fame criteria and selection process.

Congratulations again to the 3 coaches, 15 officials, 31 players and 7 legends inducted into the inaugural Prahran Football Club Hall of Fame. The HOF will be evolving with new inductees and Legends included in the years to come.

A special thank you to our photographer Charlie and videographer Paul for capturing the night so beautifully — keep an eye out for the event video coming soon. We also sincerely thank Steph Suriano for her endless work across video, graphics and execution of the night, along with all of the interviewees who featured in the evening’s presentations.
