TWO BLUES NEW COACH FOR 2024

PRAHRAN's new coach for season 2024 is former Frankston Dolphins VFL assistant coach Craige Milward.

President Fab Maya announced this week Milward (pictured left)  had agreed to take the role of head coach to replace Brett Dickinson who stood down after two seasons at the helm.

Craige is passionate about football and said: “ I’m excited and feel privileged to be appointed to Prahran FC and can’t wait to get started with this group.”

Maya said the club's coaching selection panel was impressed by Milward's tactical acumen and will bring a support team. The club will also soon announce a further important addition to the football department.

A 'meet and greet afternoon' with the new coach is planned for Sunday October 29th at Osborne Rooftop Bar.

Pre-season training dates are to be confirmed subject to ground availability.

''Please join me, committee, players and supporters in welcoming Craige and his family to  Prahran, ' Maya said.

Milward was senior assistant coach and defensive line at Frankston Dolphins VFL this season. The previous season he was forward line coach.

His roles included managing the development and implementation of the team's football strategy, enhancing player skills and game sense knowledge, drive post match reviews , sports code editing , previewing and reviewing of the opposition.

"Encouraging of a fun and safe environment with a strong culture,'' is his mantra.

Milward has an extensive coaching CV.  He was senior assistant at Frankston YCW in the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League in 2020 and 2021, and spent four years as a senior assistant at another Mornington Peninsula Football Club club Dromana from 2016-19. Previously he was a juniors coach at Langwarrin from 2007 to 2014.
