Ash Mills Returns as Senior coach

Ash Mills will return as senior coach of Prahran Assumption for season 2016.

In a rare sequence of events, Mills succeeds Anthony 'Ace' McMahon who was his assistant at the Two Blues.

McMahon has been transferred to Sydney in his employment.

Mills coached the Two Blues to two finals series in his three seasons from 2012-2014 and spent this season as an assistant  coach at TAC Cup club Western Jets.

While he enjoyed the experience, Mills yearned to coach a team in his own right and found the call to return to the Two Blues irresistible.

President Fab Maya and football director Will Walford agreed to terms with Mills on Wednesday.

"We are delighted to have Ash back at our club. He is greatly respected by everyone at the club,'' Maya said.

Mills said he was excited by the return to the club he and his family embraced.

The Two Blues have retained most of their senior core of players and are interviewing prospective recruits.

Matt Laverty will remain as a senior assistant coach, with the rest of the coaching panel to be finalised.

The pre season training schedule will be announced soon.
