SANDOWN Saturday, September 5, 2026, rail true, track good 4 (showers forecast)
RACE 1: KO PHANGAN 1, Lepolo 2, Cignetti 3, Hydrobomb 4
RACE 2: BLUE WILLOW 1, Jenni Gone Bonkers 2, Celestial Zara 3, Illivy 4
RACE 3: TRES MAGIFIQUE 1, Beast Mode 2, Behaviour 3, Final Moment 4
RACE 4: SAVOYARD 1, Cruiserweight 2, Fundamental Nature 3, Queen Christine 4
RACE 5: PORTINARI 1, La Barrita 2, Pretty Baby 3, Ghana's Khan 4
RACE 6: WOLF GAP 1, Blind Raise 2, Closer To Free 3, Tornado Valley 4
RACE 7: EVAPORATE 1, Zambardo 2, Pinstriped 3, Geegees Mistruth 4
Evaporate was terrific resuming in the Lawrence when tardy away, circled the field and run down by two genuine Group performers. Won a similar race here last September. Zambardo, fresh, has a touch of class.
RACE 8: GIGA KICK 1, Extragalactic 2, Point Barrow 3, Geegees Mistruth 4
Track rating holds the key to the Group1 Moir. On a good track Giga Kick will struggle at the 1000m but if the forecast showers arrive he will be in his element. Host of chances.
RACE 9: PERSIAN SPIRIT 1, Recon2, Warnie 3, Ten Commandments 4
Persian Spirit, Recon and Warnie all resumed in the same race at Caulfield and clash again. Leaning to Persian Spirit who can take a handy position while the other two are backmarkers.
RACE 10: CHANGING COLOURS 1, Mr Verse 2, Castle On High 3, Somewhere 4
Changing Of Colours is flying and can complete the hat-trick from an ideal draw. Rises 3kg but high minimum and she has been winning with something in hand.
BEST BETS. Changing Colours, Evaporate. VALUE: Savoyard.
