NO GAMES OVER EASTER WEEKEND

PRAHRAN gets the chance to regroup over the Easter break after a disappointing start to the Premier C Grade season, with two successive losses.

The next game will be on Saturday week, away against Ajax, with the next home game on May 3 against St Bede’s Mentone.

DIVISION 1 2024 FLAG UNFURLING

THE high point of the day was the unfurling of the Division 1 VAFA Premiership pennant at half-time in the Reserves match.

Skipper Rory Brodie and former captain James Musster unfurled the flag in front of teammates and more than 100 Toorak Park luncheon guests.

Wins by the Women’s team, 6.5 (41) to Elsternwick’s 4.7 (31), and the Reserves, 14.10 (94) to Parkside’s 9.6 (60), promised a red-letter day — but Parkside spoiled the party, winning the Seniors game 14.8 (92) to 9.3 (57).

A highly successful first home game luncheon in the new Toorak Park pavilion preceded the main game, with a gathering of dignitaries, sponsors, past players, officials, and supporters.

Guest speakers — Carlton AFLW players and former Prahran players Abbie and Sophie McKay, along with former Collingwood National Recruiting Manager and past Prahran coach and Community Sports Program Manager Derek Hine — entertained guests.

PLAY 4 BCNA x PFC FUNDRAISER

Prahran Football Club is proud to once again take part in the Play 4 BCNA "Pink Sports Day" fundraising initiative in partnership with VAFA. This important event raises awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), which works tirelessly to ensure that all Australians affected by breast cancer receive the best possible treatment, care, and support.

Every year, more than 20,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer—that’s 58 men and women every single day. By coming together as a club and a community, we can help make a difference.

PFC, along with other VAFA clubs, will be fundraising for BCNA, with our Pink Sports Day taking place in Round 4.

You can show your support by donating to our online fundraiser—every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved!
